This is what the tough guys at the NRO have to say:
At the very least, count the shots and jump him reloading or changing hands. Better yet, just jump him. Handguns aren’t very accurate, even at close range. I shoot mine all the time at the range, and I still can’t hit squat. I doubt this guy was any better than I am. And even if hit, a .22 needs to find something important to do real damage—your chances aren’t bad.

You know, I’ve had the thought that peopel shoudl ahve rushed the guy but you knwo what? Woulda’m coulda’m shoulda’. The circumstances were thus: Guys and girls in class were paying attention to their lecture, not exactly roaming the halls and doing what they will, where they will adn with an unobstructed path to this guy (not if they were sitting down in class).
And when the shots started beign fired — their first thought wasn’t “How can I stop this” as so much “What the…? Ohmigod!”
Typical human reaction. Not a crime.
It is indeed yellow journalism to blame the victims, or even to dwell on what COULD have happened in the ideal circumstances for each individual who was in that building yesterday.
