Wrote this on another site and would like to add to the discussion here as well.
While I think this award is deserved, I do wish the man lived by the very actions he so stresses in others.
It’d make defending him a whole lot easier. And it’d make it harder for those who blow him off to offer up “he’s a hypocrite” as their reasons to do so.
Plus it’d help our planet.

Hi Kate,
I’m pretty sure he buys carbon offsets for his travel, don’t know if he drives a hybrid. Other than that I’m not sure what kind of deliberate smog pumping he’s in to. The guy could drive to the corner store in a ‘66 Lincoln and leave it running while he reads a magazine with his pet heiffer Methane Molly for all I care. If anyone gets a pass for changing the world on this issue I’d say it’s Mr. G.
