So the rumor has it. Sad day. As the long shot, he made a good showing but it looks apparent that Hillary and Obama aren’t going to eat themselves which was the only remaining hope for his campaign. So where now for us Edwards supporters? The defining issue for us was electability against a Republican nominee, one that he still polls as the best candidate, but it’s clear he won’t get the nod from Democrats. So the question becomes who’s more electable, Clinton or Obama? At this point it looks like Obama, as the Clinton bashing is again reaching fever pitch in the media. I also must say that an Obama/Edwars ticket looks like a lock. Then again there was a bit of chummyness between Clinton and Edwards and the Clinton’s should not be underestimated. So where does our support go? Right now it’s generic Democrat. I’ll give myself 24 hours and some waterboarding to force out my answer.

oh my god.
I came here first because I knew you’d have something to say.
I’m gonna hope for clinton/edwards but ……….
Lately Edwards supporters have UNANIMOUSLY told me that they would be supporting clinton over obama … yeah, me too.
At any rate …
Everyone I talked to today and that’s a TON OF PEOPLE said they voted NO on the tax amendment but hey it just managed to get it’s sixty percent.
So, I fail to understand when people say that rumors of rigged voting are a talking point of the republicans.
I’m off to do some chanting, praying, various activities and well try to be nicer to hillary. Like making sure I spell her name right.
Damn it to hell. Luckily I have a plan b which does not really include america. LOL

Anecdote that I’ve posted on Daily Kos:
On Saturday, I had family over and my extended family is very Republican. I mean Bill O’Reilly believing, Bush loving Republican. They were watchign results form SC and laughing it up at Hillary’s showing. They were then left in awe and impressed with Obama and his smoothness.
So, in that regard, is Hillary really that great a candidate? She’s loathed on the opposite side to such an extent. Obama on the other hand… Yes, he’ll be attacked but it’s the Clinton attack (chain email) that’s making the rounds. That’s done more damage than anything.
I’m not trying to sell you, Tiny, or you Voxy on Obama… But after Hillary and Bill have gone off the deep end trying to stop Obama the last few weeks, I was reminded why I couldn’t vote for Gore in 2000 — I had Clinton fatigue and didn’t want to continue things with someone else form their administration. They remind me this constantly.
All that, and where did the Democratic Party (DNC) go under Clinton but to the toilet with thanks to the DLC tactics… That’s gotta be kept in mind too with the idea of a Billary presidency.

For what its worth…from this side of the pond Obama looks the better candidate. I hear him speak on Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo and he seemed sincere, authentic and honest.
Looking at Obama website it loks like he’s making a major pitch for Edwards constituency, will that work?

Some interesting points. Obviously I’ll support either Dem, and our vote here in Florida has been neutered, so why does it seems compulsory that I choose one or the other? I don’t see the rule in the book that I HAVE to pick one and slam the other. Do we have to play this game that the Media has set up? Edwards is mum on his support which is a wise move considering he’s the odds on favorite for VP. Clinton/Edwards, Obama/Edwards either are highly desirable over the current Mob. The Clinton hatred is still an electability issue, the brief tear induced letup pre NH was just that, brief. Edwards and His Wife are both featured on the campaign websites of Obama and Clinton, Obama’s much more so. They need his support, he can very well be the king maker at this point, all the more respect that he isn’t. I’ll watch the debate tonight, the first one on one, and go from there. Stay tuned…

just a little waterboarding…oh that’s nuthin’…
I am certainly not willing to make a choice right now. There is plenty of time. What is with all the Clinton haters. It is way too extreme and unreasonable.
Obama has that image thing going on…clearly…but really…is his platform all that different? We like him cuz he appeals to our hearts. We need that right now in this nation because we want to trust our leader and look up to him.
So…take a deep breath before they start pouring the water over your face.
