Reading the McClellan revelations about what amounts to a confirmation of everything the Left has been accusing the Bush Admin of, basically, what everybody knew anyway. It strikes me that what really gets in the craw of the Bush Admin and the Right Wing Noise Machine, is not anything to do with what amounts to high treason, impeachable offenses, endless war, endless raiding of the public coffers, and the outright destruction of our Costitution,… none of that, it’s that Scotty broke the most sacred rule of any organized crime syndicate, he wasn’t “Loyal” to the Boss of Bosses.
Loyalty trumps country.

but isn’t there like a major freakin’ jaw dropping story here? Something like, “President, Son of Ex-Head of the CIA, Outs CIA Agent To Silence Whistleblower Who Blows Whistle On a Pack Of Bullshit Used To Take Country To War”. Kind of ironic that the guy who was probably the worst at lying to the press for the administration has to jump up and down screaming and say flatly, hey you morons, I WAS LYING. And now the media gives carte blanche to anyone and everyone who lied and covered the lies that wants to castigate him, instead of going back and examining the lies, all the while patting themselves on the back for a job shittily done.

In today’s episode little Scotty is perplexed as to why George is so perplexed:
“‘The media won’t let go of these ridiculous cocaine rumors,’ I heard Bush say. ‘You know, the truth is I honestly don’t remember whether I tried it or not. We had some pretty wild parties back in the day, and I just don’t remember.’”
“I remember thinking to myself, How can that be?” McClellan wrote. “How can someone simply not remember whether or not they used an illegal substance like cocaine? It didn’t make a lot of sense.”
