They destroyed evidence when they had knowledge of the investigation. Y’know you kind of expect some corruption at high levels of law enforcement in places like those small Barney Fife towns, or the traditional Chicago style corruption in some big cities, but DOJ has been shockingly Alberto’d (slimed up) from top to bottom.
Luckily that last bastion of honesty and integrity (hell, he was confirmed by the Democrats on a “or else we’ll get someone corrupt” vote), Mukasey, is on the case, or near it, or something honest like.
