This would be laughable if this weren’t so serious. John McCain and the Republicans are perpetrating a fraud on the United States Of America. They are presenting a wholly unqualified, scandal ridden, vindictive, liar, who clearly lacks any morals (I’m sorry but anyone who repeatedly lies clearly lacks any moral compass) as a candidate for what could easily be the highest office in the world. It’s a game to them, one that the media are too eager to play. But it’s not a game this time.
As for the media. let’s not pretend that any small bit of just one of these scandals, gaffes, or lies wouldn’t be a game ender for Obama. Game over.
I understand that the TV networks and the big papers feel like they’re not allowed to criticize Gov. Palin. But we’re in the middle of a housing and credit crisis and she doesn’t even know what Fannie and Freddie are. It’s an embarrassing level of ignorance that would sink a candidate for house or senate.
