I thought I’d weigh in on the “Bailout”. At first I didn’t think I knew enough of the complex, convoluted, entity that is the financial system. I had questions but they seemed too simple for an event that has the President and the wise old men of wall street stopping the presses of life in order to get this “bailout” to happen and to happen NOW!
After listening for days now, the questions aren’t getting answered, even my simple ones. Like: What is the rush? What will happen if this doesn’t happen? Nobody, nobody has given a simple laymen’s termed answer or even a complex answer.
Look, Bush/Cheney and their cronies have been bilking this nation and raiding the coffers with countless unaccounted for no-bid contracts for the war, Katrina, no child left behind, faith based initiatives, etc. while simultaneously almost completely eliminating taxes for corporations and rich old white dudes.
This is nothing more that the final great thievery of ours and our children’s money. They’re doing it straight faced, in broad daylight, and without any explanation that even remotely makes sense. Conveniently they will saddle the next president, Obama, with a crushing debt that will be next to impossible to crawl out from under.
And who is the messenger? Bush. A pillar of smarts and honesty.
Can we not be fooled this time America?
