It was no secret around here that I was heavily for John Edwards. He was a good candidate, gave good politics. I never really said much when the baby came, I was hoping, like Mitterrand’s mistress, it wouldn’t matter. In the end it did. Anyway with all the Republican blaming of the poor - they’re responsible for the sub-prime mess, Freddie and Fannie gave loans to poor people!, ACORN is registering Mickey Mouse and Jack Meoff and poor people - I was thinking how great it would be if Edwards were out there defending the poor like he can so eloquently.
It sucks that he can’t.
I could go on at length as to why but basically it sucks that we can’t own our fuck-ups like the Republicans own theirs.
