Yeah… a couple thoughts. Tiller did not deserve to die and whoever did it, conspired to do it, and/or attempted to do it must face justice. All of it…plain and simple. In the comments of the article you cited Tiny, someone said that killing a “real person” is different than killing a zygote. I guess that means it is different than killing a deformed zygote as well. We can say what we want and make whatever distinctions we want…but, a zygote is a complete person. Science says so. A deformed zygote or one that is going to die is a complete person as well until he or she dies. If you ask me, that is so amazing it is hard to fathom. That at conception, a complete person is formed – it may not be “big” but it is as complete as you and me. Do we respect this anymore? Or is it just a “byprodocut” of a good time. This is the creative process – we are humans! Not animals. We think! deformed or not – we think. We are. Plain and simple…we can reproduce and we dont give a damn anymore. Pretty soon, we wont even need to participate in the process though love – we will just give the necessary parts to the doc and he will do the rest in the petri dish. That will be a sad for humanity. I feel its effects now and shiver.

That being said, killing “zygotes” as we see fit leaves me cold. Especially when the killing comes in because we dont like what we are going to get or getting pregnant interferes with my fun. That is a slippery slope. I dont want to take away choice. Keep it. Live with it. Men and women. But it is not fair to our young to continue to disrespect our creative abilities in favor of sexual gratification or “choice” about what kind of babies we want as if they are commodities. Men and women are losing their connection to one another in favor of a constant “use” mode. We use people to satisfy our fantasies, we think we love them but we dont even see them, we use them to make up for our insecurities, we use people to genetically engineer our favorite kind of baby, we use people to experiment on or with. These kinds of things could take us down a road we dont want to go.

Tiller’s death may help bring to light the false religious who still have that giant plank stuck in their own eye! And hopefully it will bring to light the need to love life in all its forms and stop the judging of “good” life vs “unworthy” life. Cuz pretty soon that unworthy life could be yours.
