Basically, he says if Dems pass healthcare it will provide awesome, cheap healthcare. People will then say, “hey my awesome healthcare was provided by awesome Democrats!” and people won’t think of Republicans as being awesome and it will ruin our awesome government.
So, no awesome for you!

So the GOP needs to retain it’s “Party of No” Mentality and stop the Awesome in order to save politics in America?
Look, Hatch should know better than anyone that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. While the GOP gets the Looney out of it’s sytem, let the Dems have their day… get complacent and star doing corrupt things like the GOP did during most of the past 8+ years when they had total control. Then, when the GOP brand seems more sane than where the Dems are taking things, the GOP strikes. That’s how politics in this country work. Not the bullshit “permanent majority” shit that Tom Delay and company used to salivate over.
