Stupak(R), backed by the Insurance Industry, slips in what some would consider a back door anti-abortion amendment. But let’s play out what would happen if there were no option whatsoever for “women’s services” in the public option… the Insurance Industry would surely offer private supplemental policies to cover “women’s services”, sort of like AFLAC, and they’d call it something like “AFLAC”, have a nice duck or goose mascot so as not to label abortion services, “abortion services”, and profit as usual on “women’s services”.
